So I sent this email (March 25, 2026 4:35 PM) to various Conservative MPs, including Michael Cooper and Michael Kram who were questioning Elections Canada officials in the above video:

Subject: Long Ballot boys and Elections Canada
Would someone raise with Elections Canada why the Long Ballot boys have not been investigated about their duty* (and probable failure) to open separate bank accounts for each and every one of their independent candidates?
If they have not, is this not a form of misrepresentation and / or fraud that should disqualify them from ever acting as an agent for a candidate? ...

*“Bank account 476.65 (1) A nomination contestant’s financial agent shall open, for the sole purpose of the contestant’s nomination campaign, a separate bank account in a Canadian financial institution as defined in section 2 of the Bank Act, or in an authorized foreign bank as defined in that section that is not subject to the restrictions and requirements referred to in subsection 524(2) of that Act.”

To Elections Canada Commissioner:
Subject: Battle River-Crowfoot By-election
Before printing ballot forms for the Battle River-Crowfoot riding, will Elections Canada thoroughly research, investigate, and determine:
• whether Tomas Szuchewycz is disqualified to be the agent of any candidate IF he has failed to open individual campaign bank accounts for each of his many independents in Battle River-Crowfoot or the 80+ he represented in Carleton in March / April 2025, which would mean over 250 bank accounts required of him since March 2025?*
• IF Tomas Szuchewycz failed as agent in prior federal elections to open individual campaign bank accounts would this not show a pattern of electoral misrepresentation and / or breach of duty / trust?
• Whether and in what manner the witnesses to consenting electors exercised due diligence as required:
“All signatures must be collected and witnessed in Section F of the online nomination form or Nomination Paper. The witness must use due diligence to make sure that the signatures made in their presence are all by qualified electors who live in the electoral district. The witness does not need to be a qualified elector. This form allows for up to 10 signatures per page, and the same person must witness all elector signatures on any one page." https://www.elections.ca/content.aspx?section=pol&dir=can/bck&document=p5&lang=e#h18
• WHETHER any of the independent Battle River-Crowfoot candidates are not eligible under EA 65 (i) as
(i) a person who was a candidate in a previous election and for whom a return, report, document or declaration has not been provided under subsection 477.59(1), if the time and any extension for providing it have expired.

Account holder name
(2) The account shall name the account holder as follows: “(name of financial agent), financial agent”.**
** 3. Open bank account The official agent has to open a separate bank account to be used exclusively for the candidate’s campaign. This could happen before or after the candidate’s nomination is confirmed or before an election is called. Note that the requirement to open a bank account exists whether or not there are financial transactions. The account has to be with a Canadian financial institution or an authorized foreign bank, as defined by the Bank Act. The official agent must be named as the account holder, as follows: (name), official agent. For example: “Peter Raymond, official agent”. It is also acceptable to add the candidate’s name to the name of the bank account. For example: “Peter Raymond, official agent for Anne Thomas”. chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.elections.ca/res/gui/app/2025-02/2025-02_e.pdf
This was Election Canada's reply Wed, Oct 15, 2025, 9:17 AM (which did not address the "agent duty" issue):
Thank you for your correspondence dated July 29, 2025, concerning the ballot used for the 2025 federal general election in Battle River – Crowfoot. At this time, the Canada Elections Act does not contain any provisions that would place limitations on the size, format or number of candidates that can be listed on a ballot. For that reason, the matter can not be pursued by our Office.Seems however that something may be happening:
We acknowledge that longer ballots may also raise other concerns, including those related to accessibility. Should these be areas of concern for you, we encourage you to contact Elections Canada directly. Contact information for Elections Canada can be found on their Contact Us page, located here: https://www.elections.ca/content2.aspx?section=conge&document=index&lang=e. We thank you for taking the time to contact us and for your interest in the electoral process.
