Moral Injury Either Way

In December 2020, there was a news article about Canadian reservists being trained to cope with moral injury.¹ Here is the first part of my 2020 responding post:

Does it give anyone pause to know that our military reservists are being set-up for “moral injury”?¹

And what is moral injury? you ask. From a film-slide in the training module, it says:

"A moral injury is harm caused by 'perpetrating, failing to prevent, witnessing, or learning about actions that violate deeply held moral beliefs and expectation,'"

In other words, it's an (emotional, spiritual, psychological) injury you incur when you do, see, or learn about an immoral / inhumane / criminal / despicable act which you did not stop or felt you could not avert because of fear, force, or desire to stay in favor with commanders or colleagues. It is to violate your conscience (your sense of right and wrong) and, thereafter, in most instances, it is followed by self-justification, as a survival mechanism.² [2023 Note:This last sentence was not part of the training manual, but was my observation from the science of human behavior.]

There does not seem to be any instruction in the training on how to avoid “moral injury” by speaking up, by asserting one's conscience, by refusing to sanction violations of one's moral beliefs or expectations, by reporting or whistleblowing. There is only (alleged) sympathy for having been injured.

We may sometimes witness situations that seem 'inhuman' to us.

The slide encouraged soldiers to seek support if needed. (See ftn 1 again)

In that 2020 post, the focus was on moral injury suffered by a witness or perpetrator of harm, injury, or injustice that violated their sense of right and wrong. NOW, after witnessing these past three years, the moral injury training seems to have been but a primer for self-justifying the infliction of moral injury upon others. Remember the lockdowns, the takedowns, the shutdowns? the drive-by weddings, funerals, grads, churches, celebrations? the window kisses, signing, palming, pretended hugs? the snitch phone-lines? the uniformed and non-uniformed threats and tyranny? Can we see the twisted inversion where narrative obedients were trained to focus on their moral injury for having to do their essential, injurious jobs, all without mention of the moral injuries to targets and victims? Thus it was that the “necessary” infliction of moral injury exploded.

One horrific case on point: the National Citizen’s Inquiry expert witness describing the past three plus years in Canada’s military.³ Listen and ask: What else can we possibly call this but egregious, unconscionable moral injury inflicted upon all rank-and-file military by chain-of-command narrative lackeys? Every Canadian citizen and resident should listen to this NCI witness and protest non-stop against: 1) this continuing charade of “safe and effective”; 2) the endless deception and gas-lighting by the (so-called) power elites; 3) the treasonous duplicity of divided loyalties.⁴

When are we (Canadians and USians) going to finally clue in that our greatest danger is not from foreign actors, but from stooges and PWOCs⁵ within our own power structures, who, by their actions, have deliberately decimated our military, our economy, our freedoms, our constitution, our values, our rule of law? What greater illustration of our government's decline can we observe than that the entire Canadian House of Commons should rise en masse in thunderous applause at the un-vetted urging of a Speaker lauding a “hero” who turned out to be a Nazi war veteran of an SS unit linked to war crimes and ethnic cleansing⁶— full color exposure of the blind leading the blind down the garden path into full pathocracy⁷!

Oh, yes, we have gone into a justified paroxysm over this world-observed moral injury to Canada, her MPs and citizens, but too many still remain oblivious to the explosion of moral injuries of the past three years; and unless we wake up and denounce moral injuries, they will escalate to places we could never have imagined a brief three years ago.

Well, folks, within a few months, WE The People will have the Citizens’ Report — the side of the story we had hoped (in vain) to hear during the POEC hearings (Fall 2022), but alas, during POEC, gov't. power, control, and propaganda prevailed as it frequently does. But how, you might ask, are WE to tell who is telling the truth? Perhaps we could begin by listening to the consequence portion (of truth and consequence) for those witnesses countering power narratives. What have they risk or lost? Another clue is perceiving who is praised and who is maligned by narrative-groupies (as in most of the MSM).

So let us help counter the politicized, propagandized pseudoscience (aka: pscience). Let us spread the witness far and wide: “The Citizens are coming! The Citizens are coming!” with FACTS and DATA exposing the great, continuing deception of “Safe and Effective.”

Is this not a duty that we owe to our fellow men, women, and children — not to mention all those servants of We The People who have forgotten who they are and what their duty is?

At the least, let us do our civic duty to spread the words of NCI.

So what do we think: Is Burning Man innocuous or revelatory? Was the flood of mud a wake-up signal? Back to the (Music) Future, Please? (as in Bee Gees, et al.)

In this time of dire need for blistering, truth-laden, protest songs, like those of Oliver Anthony, Tom MacDonald, John Rich, Tyson James, Buddy Brown, to name a few, there is also a dire need to add counter-point to the protest. 

Remember the soul music of the '50s, '60s, & '70s — those decades of the Bee Gees, the Supremes, the Righteous Brothers, Roberta Flack, Carole King, Johnny Mathis, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, The Jackson Five, Tom Jones, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin; the list goes on and on¹? The Garden Path to Pathocracy?

IF “pathocracy” means “the type of political system in which psychopaths rule”¹ would we recognize it if we saw it? And if we did recognize it, would we do anything about it or would we prefer to affix a label: “conspiracy theory”² as we continued our stumbling stroll down the serpent-strewn “garden path”³?

In the concluding paragraph, the Academy of Ideas speaker gives this warning (beginning circa min. 11:44):

Correction! FWOKE

In a prior post (“Let Us Be Clear!”¹), Déjà Vu - Times II named the corruption and inversion of 1930's “woke" principles as “new woke” (nwoke) to distinguish it from the original woke, but on reflection and observation of numerous SOD² activists and their adherents over the past month, the more descriptive term is not “new woke” (nwoke), but faux-woke (fwoke) since most everything the SOD activists pursue is inverted and regressive of what woke stands for. Equity vanishes in the special acknowledgements, affirmations, privileges, and exceptions they demand for themselves and seek to compel others to accept and honor. Anyone, regardless of race, age, profession, status, etc., who does not affirm their life choices is to be excluded from all the rights, privileges, and freedoms they claim for their special group.

Let us not affirm the misuse and abuse of words such as “woke” when its meaning has been corrupted. Let us begin using faux-woke or fwoke to identify and expose the appropriation, inversion, and corruption.

DEI-ology: The Great Pretense*?

Has the "stay woke" of the 1930s (perhaps in use as early as the 1860s¹) been appropriated by an assortment of tyrannical characters whose dei-ology plays out as a great pretense — an exercise in aggressive gas-lighting?

How can we not see that for most “woke-usurpers”² there is only one diversity that matters — the diversity of spectrum-ized sexual orientation preached by SOD (self-obsessed diva / divo) activists and their acolytes. No matter your skin color, your birth gender, your age, your politics, your status, your worldly success; (your whatever), if you do not kowtow to the SOD dei-ology, you have no equity in their system; you have no inclusion; you have no voice. In their view, your diversity (whoever you are) is anathema, intolerable, hateful, racist, and phobic. Under an umbrella (mis)labelled WOKE, the SOD activists have sharpened and weaponized the umbrella shaft for a single purpose — to tyrannize and normalize an imagined sex spectrum. And ironically, the chant of dei-ologists against all thoughts or opinions (diversity!) that do not affirm their narrative is: Die! Die! Die! They are the ones who hate (just listen to them), and if criticism is given in response to the tyranny of their language and demands, they seem oblivious to their own culpability and self-deception. They label even the mildest of criticism as hate; everything is viewed though the lens of a ruminated victim dei-ology.

Just observe how “Woke” has been squeezed by the SOD activists into an endless parade of SOD characters and their captured sycophants — people without apparent memory or conscience. The genuine dysphorics get thrown under the SOD bus driven by drama queens and kings.

Genuine dysphorics just want to live their lives without demanding that the world affirm, applaud, and pay bending homage to their choices. They wish to attend social, sports, or other functions in their chosen persona without fanfare and without the narcissistic need to have the entire event and all actors, athletes, and audience roll out the rainbow or lavender carpet in spectacular welcome, which, by the way, violates every one of their trumpeted mantras: diversity, equity, inclusion. Where is the diversity and equity in excluding everyone who is not SOD in the special recognition and affirmation of their life choices? Where is the DEI in their vociferous demands for special privilege and exemption from criticism or challenge or hurt feelings? There was little push-back, in recent years, against private, personal choice until the SOD activists took strident centerstage.

Thinkers and scholars have given warning:

2. Questions: a) If woke began (circa 1930s) with good cause, has it now been appropriated, infiltrated, co-opted, and mutilated to its harm by narcissists and moles?
