Faux Rogue Repeat?

Several years ago, the US was courted by two faux rogues and in this most recent go-round (&-round &-round), it seems a third “rogue” has arisen—endorsed now by the second.¹ So, in review, here is the “Rogue Repeat.”

Rogue (as defined by some) is to BE everything “Washington, DC” is NOT; as in honest, true, chaste, virtuous, wise, free of undue influence, etc., etc.²

However, do not be deluded by self-appointment. ALL who claim special rogue-dispensation to save freedom, democracy, and the Constitution should be check-listed (not black-listed as some politicians and pundits prefer for their opponents, but check-listed) so we can see whether they are really rogues, OR just more of the SAME OL’ STUFF—as in SOS.

So the question regarding this third faux-rogue is: What do USians⁷ really want?

Do Trump supporters really think that a corporate boss whose life experience and motto is “power and gain unto Me and my numerous corps” is the great model for US government renewal? What does corporate power know about the “Bill of Rights”—except to contest them whenever possible vis-à-vis employees and “We The People” while aggressively asserting them for its own incorporeal self? Are we really ready for more corporatized government? And what is so rogue-ish about:

»  massaging the egos of USians?
»  blaming foreigners and immigrants for national problems?
»  promising better times without becoming better people?
»  externalizing costs and internalizing profits?
»  touting “US Greatness” through Kissinger-brand “rose-colored specs”?⁸

WHY have “We The People” let things get this far???

Take the case of the Hammonds in Oregon.¹ If the jury had known (been informed of) their historical rights and DUTIES we would not now be witnessing this abuse of process, law, and authority, or this standoff.

So people of the JURY (of every jury): Get this into your consciousness: YOU are the chief vertical check and balance in the U.S. Constitution and the mainstay of preserving freedoms other people died to give you. It is your solemn DUTY to rule, not just on facts, but on law. YOU decide if the law is justly applicable to the case before you. If it is, then you rule on the facts. If it is not, YOU kick that law to the gutter. Your verdict of guilt or innocence is to be JUST. If the law works an injustice in the case before you, then YOU reject the application of that law to that case. It is called “Jury Nullification.”²

Furthermore, YOU do not take guff, haughtiness, superiority, refusal, denial, or abuse of any kind from any judge. He is the employee of “We The People.” He is there to help YOU, You are not there to help him. And because We The People have hired him for his skills (and we pray, integrity), he is derelict to refuse information relevant to YOUR duties and the consequences that might flow from any and all decisions you, the jury, make.

When you look upon any judge, do not be intimidated. She is YOUR employee. She answers to YOU. You ask her something, she is to answer fully, competently, and honestly, hiding nothing. Expect nothing less. Accept nothing less. Be as aggressive as you need to get answers to questions. Do not tolerate any judicial impatience.

If you see a judge favoring one side’s presentation, or granting inequitable favors, confront him in private. Let him know YOU have noticed. Tell him it is unacceptable. Tell him, if the trial is manifestly unfair and inequitable, the jury will make a statement to that effect as part of its ruling. Make complaints to judicial oversight bodies, if need be. If all else fails: Go Public.

YOU are the guardians of justice. YOU are the last stand in what has become in recent years, a “game of thrones”—a merry-go-round of power, fame, and gain which has caught most of the “elites” in webs of compromise, deceit, mutual favors, intrigue, and fear. (Oh, déjà vu!³)

The Babylon Cons

As we “wrap-up” this season of surfeit and spending, perhaps we should commit, in the coming year, to a serious investigation into the many cons—beyond this seasonal Santa-con—that Babylon (and her minions) have been and are inflicting upon us.

The “unbelievable, crazy” question is: Have we been conned to believe that we live on the outside curvature of a spinning, revolving sphere that orbits the sun? Unbelievable as it may seem, the question is far from settled despite “globalists” who mock geocentric “Flat Earthers.”

Considering all the other deceptions that we have fallen heir to, could the wisest course be to contemplate and investigate this newest quest for truth in the manner these writers advise?³

King Solomon: He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him  (Old Testament | Proverbs 18:13).

William Paley(?)⁴: Men reject Christianity [and other things] from indolence and indifference, or contempt prior to examination; and their scepticism, not being originally the effect of patient and systematic investigation, their subsequent enquiries (if they deserve the name) are careless, superficial, and made rather with a view of confirming themselves in those opinions they have already imbibed, than with an earnest desire to discover and embrace Truth wherever she may be found.

Do we ever ponder why it is that men and women of intelligence and education can so publicly abandon conscience and integrity? can present themselves so pitifully déjà vu the tobacco boys¹ of not so long ago?

Militant Atheists: A Déjà Vu ?

In Fox’s Book of Martyrs,¹ we read:

At length the zeal of the infuriated Atheists in France hurried them to the perpetration of one of the most ridiculous, and at the same time impious transactions which ever disgraced the annals of any nation. It was no less than a formal renunciation of the existence of a Supreme Being, and the installation of the Goddess of Reason, in 1793.

Fanaticism ~ A to Z ?
A light or a lock ?

"There is," says [Sir Walter] Scott,^[2] "a fanaticism of atheism, as well as of superstitious belief; and a philosopher can harbour and express as much malice against those who persevere in believing what he is pleased to denounce as unworthy of credence, as an ignorant and bigoted priest can bear against a man who cannot yield faith to dogmata which he thinks insufficiently proved." Accordingly, the throne being totally annihilated, it appeared to the philosophers of the school of Hebert, … that in totally destroying such vestiges of religion and public worship as were still retained by the people of France, there was room for a splendid triumph of liberal opinions (Kindle Locations 10270-10278, emphasis added).

These passages brought to mind the words of Sam Harris:³

Some propositions are so dangerous that it may even be ethical to kill people for believing them. This may seem an extraordinary claim, but it merely enunciates an ordinary fact about the world in which we live. Certain beliefs place their adherents beyond the reach of every peaceful means of persuasion, while inspiring them to commit acts of extraordinary violence against others. There is, in fact, no talking to some people. If they cannot be captured, and they often cannot, otherwise tolerant people may be justified in killing them in self-defense. This is what the United States attempted in Afghanistan, and it is what we and other Western powers are bound to attempt, at an even greater cost to ourselves and to innocents abroad, elsewhere in the Muslim world. We will continue to spill blood in what is, at bottom, a war of ideas.

Harris has spent considerable effort to clarify his meaning, but in the final analysis he and his colleagues seem to advocate preemptive self-defense: We anticipate violence based on another’s beliefs, so we are justified to shoot/bomb/obliterate first.

Sir Walter Scott’s quote also brought to mind a TED talk by Richard Dawkins wherein he manifest a comprehensive disdain for all religious belief.⁴

These beliefs expressed by Harris and Dawkins show how thin the razor’s edge might become between 1) preemptive justification for “preventing” violence by others and 2) preemptive justification for thwarting present and future crimes against humanity and civilization that they lay at the feet of religion.

Harris is right (even about atheistic beliefs): “The link between belief and behavior raises the stakes considerably” (p. 52).

In any event, Harris, Dawkins, and company seem alarmingly déjà vu those “infuriated Atheists in France.”

WOW! $2,800.00 S&H for an item costing $247.03?! Makes one ask—Could this restrain trade?

I confess—it did.

And now we might ask—Is this a strategy to protect the profit-turf of a sister or brother corp in a “foreign” country? OR is it just one more S&H software glitch which is, admittedly, far from exclusive to amazon?

“Address exclusion”¹ is another way to hinder online, cross-border shopping (observed  with several BIG corps not too long ago), but S&H seems pretty useful, too. My “free flow of goods” abruptly hit the brick (or is it snow?) wall of trade-OFF. Could we argue that S&H is one of those “other practices” in that restraint of trade definition?

This isn’t the first time “foreigners” have encountered AMAZing S&H assessments just to cross a border, but so far (for us) this S&H takes the cake. It’s free shipping to any nearby U.S. border town, BUT (apparently) $2,800.00 USD to get my $247.03 item 15 miles further north to me.

It must cost more than we ever imagined to crampon-up that massive snow cliff that defines the Canadian border, and then to rent that sled and all those huskies!! Who would have thought?

We are even informed that the North American Volkswagen CEO Michael Horn admits knowing of the “emissions rigging” in 2014.

So patsies of the world unite! Begin with Winterkorn and Horn. Hit this rhyming duo with the Capital Punishment² decreed by Moses; and thence onward to those “Bell Boys (& Girls),” and to the myriad other “profit-loss” schemers that hang to the [g]rafters of the corporate structure.

Why indeed do shareholders tolerate crimes against themselves by their HyPEs?³ How long before “patsy” definitions 1, 2, & 3 are added verbatim as ”shareholder” definitions 2, 3, & 4 at Dictionary.com?

How long before we admit the great con, corruption, and connivance of the shareholding system? The whole game is supposedly “gain,” but it seems that most shareholders are so far removed from influence, knowledge, oversight, or conscience they have become the perfect patsies.

Capital Punishment ?

Capital punishment … is punishment by death. The sentence is referred to as a death sentence. Crimes that can result in a death penalty are known as capital crimes or capital offences. The term capital originates from the Latin capitalis, literally "regarding the head" (referring to execution by beheading).¹

In light of recent corporate crimes committed in pursuit of greater capital (aka: mammon, moola, lucre, bottom-line, etc.) as in

perhaps we should return to the early days before corporations joined the immortals (as in: too-big-to-fail). And since our “fine-system” does not seem to carry sufficient deterrence, perhaps we could take a lesson from Moses:

If the entirety of criminal, corporate profits automatically became a doubled loss, could that improve our situation? As it now is, the gains so far exceed any potential loss that the so-called “fiduciary duty” to shareholders (combined with the ego of most corporate HyPEs⁸) almost mandates adventures in crime.

Additional “capital punishments” could be: first, to automatically fine ALL corporate HyPEs in-the-know (or who should have known) the sum of their yearly salary, benefits, bonuses, and gains for every year of infraction—thus decapitalizing them; second, decapitate them (without severance) from their head positions; and thirdly, ban them for at least ten years from heading any other corporation of moderate to behemoth size.

If our punishments were consistent, capital, and catastrophic, perhaps we could get a grip on this (en)raging epidemic of mammon-mongering, psychopathy, and PWOCs.⁹

▪ vain ‘n profane speech and entertainments;
▪ denigration of the poor, the innocent, the oppressed, and the unborn;²
▪ chem-dumping worldwide in land, sea, sky, and body;³
▪ sequential profiteering wars and preludes to more;
▪ Hiroshima and Nagasaki (1945);⁴
▪ Chernobyl (1986), Fukushima-Daiichi (2011), and numerous other near or hidden nuclear disasters;⁵ AND NOW,
▪ the “scientific” collisions at CERN;⁶

yes, considering all these and more, could God be nearing the conviction that humankind has passed the tipping point—being more in love with death than with His Tree of Life?

Perhaps we should remember:

Some things are worse than death,⁷
Considering there is a resurrection.
