Dear Fellow Canadians and friends of Canada around the world:
If you haven’t yet begun singing this prayer, it is not too late to start. And it’s not too late to recognize that there are thousands and maybe millions who care enough about Canada’s heritage and honour to do the same — to petition God for help in our nation’s April 28 election. Let us, by the millions, sing (morning, noon, and night, and in between) this 4th (seldom sung) verse of Canada’s National Anthem:
Ruler Supreme,Let us sing as individuals, families, clubs, churches, organizations, etc. in every place across this great land. And when our prayer-song is answered, let us remember to give thanks, and then STAND ON GUARD in the coming days, weeks, months, and years, demanding responsibility, accountability, justice, and judgment.
Who hearest humble prayer
Hold our Dominion
In Thy loving care
Help us to find, O God, in Thee
A lasting, rich reward,
As waiting for the better day
WE ever stand on guard.
(Refrain)
God keep our land
Glorious and free!
O Canada we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
If you feel inclined you may join in with the “Crossroads”* appeal to unite in prayer and fasting for Canada, and even if you do not agree with all their prayer and fasting suggestions, please visit, participate, and share the “Crossroads” site.*
For myself, I am also choosing to pray that:
▪ Canadians will be discerning of what is best for Canada and will vote in great numbers;-------------------------------------------/
▪ we will elect men and women of integrity who will honour our rights and freedoms;
▪ we will reject as unworthy to serve all those who consistently dishonored our rights and freedoms in the past decade;
▪ election officials and assistants will manifest honesty and integrity in all matters;
▪ that Canada can again become strong and free under new leadership;
▪ that the agendas and crimes of those who seek to weaken or destroy our nation will be exposed and brought to accountability, justice, and judgment;
▪ that Canadians will be open to renewing our Confederation of ten provinces and three territories with greater fairness, respect, and justice for all.
