If God works in mysterious ways with signs and wonders, could “doge” / DOGE be a sign? a reminder of things that have been? a warming of things to come? a call to be enlightened by what has been1?
Let us begin with medieval Venice.2 The “elected” / appointed doge3 was seen as head of the city state, except he was not a sovereign head. His bosses were a clique of behind-the-scenes oligarchs that he had to answer to, reminiscent of “Principle 24 – King of the World” as outlined in Stealth Power and the Illusion of Democracy: Using AI to understand the Puppet Masters by Peter Duke.4
